The aim of this article is to identify the most promising cancer prevention and treatment approaches available in Africa.

Educational Outcomes:
Upon completion of this module practitioners should have a clear understanding of:

• The trends in cancer incidence and fatality rates in the five different regions in Africa
• The availability of medical devices used in cancer care across African regions
• The association between the Human Development Index (HDI) and cancer incidence and fatality rates in Africa.
